“If its true that the mind can transform the body it is equally true that structures can transform the mind.”

Walter Gropius

LIVING STRUCTURES is a collective of artists that create exciting visual, physical and musical performances within large-scale immersive structures.

With an aim to produce strong and stimulating experiences for our audiences, we create multi media events in mind baffling environments.

The vast objects we construct are designed to dramatically mutate the space surrounding our shows. The transformations that spectators experience inside and around our ‘structures’ manipulate and play with their senses, provoking strong physical and emotional sensations. This heightens and adds new dimensions to how they encounter the music, theatre, puppetry, choreography, video, sculpture and soundscape in our shows.

Our work is like a wild animal that has been entrapped in a cage; it will always be travelling on the circumference of its confines tirelessly seeking the edge of what contains it and trying to find ways to overcome its limitations.

We believe that a healthy and wild performance must challenge the frontiers that bound it whether these perimeters are physical or psychological, real or self-imposed.
